Across the country, 4-H is delivered by Cooperative Extension. 4-H is the youth outreach program from the land-grant institutions’ cooperative extension services and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) through its National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). This partnership between UW–Madison Division of Extension and USDA/NIFA is crucial to deliver a successful 4-H program. In Wisconsin, UW–Madison Division of Extension operates 4-H through the Positive Youth Development Institute.
In addition to 4-H, UW–Madison Division of Extension also offers other youth programs which focus on governance, agriculture, and science.
