Japanese anime has achieved popularity all over the world. Are you a fan, too? Or maybe just curious? In this class, you will explore the many diverse worlds of anime through films and series that reflect a variety of time periods, themes, genres and styles. You'll develop an appreciation for the meaning of anime in both the cultures of Japan and the United States. You'll take steps toward being a more culturally literate global citizen by being a knowledgeable and critical viewer of this popular art form. Join us as we explore animation, eco-criticism and the considerable anime fan bases.
