Summary

This course explores various topics in veterinary and animal sciences. The course aims to expose students to diverse career options while exploring scientific and ethical questions. Lessons will include topics related to animal nutrition, genetics, physiology, animal welfare, animal behavior and handling, and more. Students will gain an appreciation for the complexity of human-animal relationships and how this impacts society through debate/discussion, classroom exercises, and hands-on labs. In addition, there will be an emphasis on the vast career opportunities available to those interested in veterinary and animal sciences.

Student profile

This course focuses on the veterinary and animal science fields. Badger Summer Scholars students should plan to bring a laptop or tablet to use during the course and course activities.

Tuition deadlines
