Summary
From ski resorts under domes in the middle of the desert to rotating skyscrapers, nothing is impossible for contemporary designers! This class will help you start thinking like an engineer and engage you in a series of increasingly complex competitive design challenges. You’ll be able to apply your knowledge of math, physics, engineering, and creative problem-solving strategies to complete hands-on, model-building activities. This class will give you exposure to the world of engineering and a deeper understanding of how things work.
Student profile
This course is designed as a challenging enrichment opportunity for students completing grades 4-5. Additional note: this course is offered in Sessions 1, 2, and 3 with repeated content. Students should select only one session.
