Summary

This class will spark your curiosity about the connections between math, computer coding and programming. Through critical reasoning and creative problem-solving, you will learn how to boss around a computer using concepts like scripts, variables and strings. If you geek out about video games, computers, equations or even different mathematical languages, this class is for you!

Student profile

Adventures in Coding has been designed for 3rd and 4th grade students with an aptitude for mathematics and a high level of interest in computer programming and coding. This course is considered to be an academic challenge for students working at or above grade levels in these content areas. Adventures in Coding is offered both Week 1 and Week 2 of GEM but it is NOT a progressive course. Curriculum is the same both weeks. If you would like your student to attend GEM for both weeks, please choose a second class.
