Summary

Your body is the most sophisticated machine you'll ever own. In this course, students will investigate the systems that keep us alive, moving, thinking, and growing. Explore the brain, heart, lungs, muscles, immune system, and more while discovering how these systems work together to maintain homeostasis and respond to disease. Students will also examine genetics, immunology, and infectious diseases through hands-on activities, dissections, projects, guest speakers, field trips, and collaborative investigations. By the end of the course, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the biology that makes each of us unique.
